This is causing major controversy & I definitely have some feelings about this one
Some of the benefits:
- A blue checkmark on your profile
- Increased reach & more opportunity to be seen by your ideal audience (from search, recommended accounts, comments etc.)
- More protection from impersonation
- Access to exclusive features & customer support
Some concerns:
- A rise in scams
- Will the blue checkmark have less value?
- How will the algorithm change as people start to sign up?
